"An active Douyin Channel bridging the gap between textbook grammar and real-world connection."
Textbooks are great for grammar, but they often fail at connection.
As a native Chinese speaker, I noticed a disconnect. Learners could conjugate verbs but froze when trying to make casual small talk.
The Fix: I am building this project on Douyin to fix that. I adopt a "Micro-learning" strategy: continuously breaking down complex language into bite-sized, high-efficiency videos. This makes Spanish accessible and "sticky".
Target: Mobile-First
"Don't want to memorize grammar tables? Let's 'steal' vocab from cartoons instead."
Curating resources like Pocoyó. Why Animation? Because the context is familiar and safe. I show learners how to master complex grammar without the stress.
"Why is everyone on Douyin dancing to 'Montagem Miau'? 🐱 Don't just vibe to the beat—let's turn this viral earworm into a grammar drill."
Textbooks ignore pop culture; I embrace it. I leverage high-dopamine viral tracks to teach phonetics. By breaking down the addictive rhythm, I anchor complex language rules to the beat.
"You've definitely seen this doll in Madrid—on keychains, statues, everywhere. But who exactly is she?"
She isn't just a souvenir; she is the protagonist of Velázquez's masterpiece. I turn this video into a "Digital Museum Guide", using AR-style editing to step inside the canvas, decoding 17th-century art history for a scrolling generation.
"Scenario: You bump into an acquaintance. They ask '¿Qué tal?'. You just say 'Bien...' and the conversation dies instantly. 🤖 Awkward!"
Textbooks stop at 'Bien, y tú?', but that builds a wall. I teach conversational bridges. I analyze this specific social friction point and provide scripts that turn a dead-end answer into an open door for connection.

The Origin Story
It started with a rhythm, not a textbook. As a child, mimicking Shakira’s moves in front of the TV, I felt a pulse that seemed worlds away.
That hunger led me to major in Spanish and eventually embark on an exchange year at the Complutense University of Madrid.
But stepping onto campus as a Gen Z native, I noticed a glaring disconnect. While I was surrounded by a viral, meme-filled culture, online resources back home were still stuck in dry grammar drills.
Realizing this gap, I decided to act.
This project is the bridge I wish I had—connecting Chinese learners not just to the language, but to the living, breathing, and ever-changing pulse of the Spanish-speaking world.
Intangible Cultural Heritage Event
My Role: Project Organizer. I led a student team to bring Qiang culture inheritors onto campus. The goal was simple: move heritage education from "viewing" to "experiencing".
Invited 3 inheritors; drafted budget & proposal.
Resolved visual style disagreements within the design team; unified the promotional materials.
Set up Embroidery (Visual) & Weaving (Tactile) zones. 100+ students participated.

My Role: Curriculum Designer. I developed a course series for rural children, integrating cultural stories (e.g., British Hats, Aboriginal Myths) to make English relevant.
Curating materials: British etiquette & Aboriginal myths.
Designing visual courseware (PPT) & scaffolded worksheets.
Gamified delivery & active student engagement.
